Typical Grave Plan Design

~~In response to the growing number of poorly constructed and sub-standard graves being discovered in the parish's public cemeteries, the Clarendon Parish Council has designed a pre-approved grave/vault plan which we recommend citizens adhere to when constructing vaults for internments in both public cemeteries and at home. The Parish Council recommends that graves be dug six feet seven inches deep (6'7") and the walls of the vault be constructed with 6 inch (6") thick blocks and sealed with a concrete slab at least 4 inches (4") thick. The specifications are in an effort to prevent the tremendous public health fallout which may arise in future if the integrity of newly-constructed graves are not preserved.
